Patchwork Collage: Elmer by McKee

Kindergarteners read Elmer by McKee this week.  Elmer is an elephant with colorful and bright patchwork, also has a great personality.  He tries to change his body color to gray just like other elephants, but he can't hide his fun and joyful personality.  Students created a colorful collage using tissue papers and used a template to make Elmer the elephant.  We had fun gluing, tracing, cutting, drawing, and adding patterns and details to create our own Elmer!

Too bad you can't see their beautiful smiles but you can imagine them in your head! :)
