Job Descriptions
Art Secretary: Maintains scheduling and art event calendar, trains Art Leaders, makes announcements, performs basic clerical duties (grades 4 & 5)
Art Leader: Assists art lesson prepping, maintains the art room clean and organized, updates the bulletin board, cut boxtops (grades 3, 4, & 5)
Art Show Committee: Plans, develops, sets up, recruits volunteers for the art show in the spring (Any grades, even parents!)

Eligibility
. Any Georgia public school student enrolled in grades K-12 for the 2014-15 school year is eligible to participate.
. Each school is eligible to submit their top three posters to the Georgia Department of Education for state recognition.
Poster Guidelines
. All posters should focus on the 2015 theme, "Constitution Day: What does the Constitution mean to me?"
. To be considered, posters should measure 8 ½ inches tall and 11 inches wide. Posters larger or smaller than 8 ½" x 11" will be disqualified.
. Posters must be the original artwork and design of the student submitting the entry. Photographs, images and/or artwork copyrighted by other individuals, whether from publications or from the Internet, are not acceptable and will be disqualified.
. Posters should be the effort of an individual student. Group/team entries will not be accepted.
. Posters may be created using marker, crayon, paint pens, watercolor, ink, acrylic, colored pencil and/or tempera paint. Computer- or photo-generated art or printing will not be accepted.
. Collages are not acceptable. Please do not glue anything on the entry.
. Posters may be mounted on foam or poster board, but should not be laminated or folded.
. Posters should be mailed as flat documents. Please do not roll posters.
. Posters should clearly list student information who creates the poster with his or her name, grade, school, and system on the back of the poster in pencil.
Timeline
. The top three posters from each school are due to the Georgia Department of Education no later than Tuesday, June 15. Posters must be received at the Georgia Department of Education by the June 15 deadline
. State winners will be announced via press release by September 2015.

Thank you for the great night!
Students and staff members worked so hard for Fine Arts Night and their hard work got paid off! We had such a fantastic night with lots of family and friends came by. They all enjoyed the art show, photobooth, chorus performance, and the new STEAM stations. We are planning for even bigger next year!! Thank you all for your support!

Art Supply Kit is Available for Check-out!
Hey Students!
I have four Art Supply Kits that are available for check out! This means, if you you want to work on art at home but don't have supplies at home, you can borrow this kit to work on your art project! Restrictions apply!!
Rules to follow when check out.
- Always check out/in the kit with Mrs. Kormos.
- You may borrow for two days. (You can extend the return day with Mrs. Kormos.)
- Do not lose the supplies. (I have a photo reference in the bag.)
- The supplies are for everybody in the school, so please take a good care of them.
